Instagram celebrated its 10th year since launching yesterday, and to celebrate its birthday, they added a secret feature that allows its users to change their Instagram icon. The available icons include 13 variations, including familiar older versions of the iconic logo, such as the polaroid camera, the pride design, and other gradient options.

Here’s how to access the new feature:

  1. Go to settings
  2. Do a long swipe down on the screen
  3. Swipe long enough until the celebration emoji appears
  4. A message from Instagram will appear!

Android users noted that the app icon won’t actually change for Instagram, and have only received a new home screen shortcut. However, iPhone users have been able to see a proper app icon change, as long as they have their app updated to the most recent version.

The customizable icons will be available for the entire month of October, but removed after – so enjoy the throwback while it lasts!
